Profhilo is a skin booster and stabilised hyaluronic acid-based product intended for skin remodelling and treating skin laxity. Profhilo also helps to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This skin booster nourishes the dermal cells and restores the firmness of the skin for immaculate results.

It is the first BDDE-free stabilised injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) based product for treating skin laxity. With one of the highest concentrations of HA on the market (64mg / 2ml), it is not only boosting and hydrating the skin but also remodels the ageing and sagging tissue.

Profhilo Mechanism Of Action

Profhilo is not a dermal filler but is marketed as a treatment for skin laxity. It is highly purified and extremely biocompatible due to the lack of chemical cross-linking agents in its formula. This gives the product the advantages of being highly safe with reduced post-procedure inflammation and a low risk of any negative effects.

Profhilo uses patented thermal technology to bond low molecular weight hyaluronic acid to high molecular weight hyaluronic acid forming a large polymer that is more difficult for the body to destroy. This unique process and formulation allow for a concentration of 64mg/2ml of the High/Low molecular weight complex which is the highest concentration available of HA on the market. Within this hybrid molecule, the high molecule weight HA acts as the building block of the face and the low molecular weight HA serves to regenerate the skin. Two treatments are usually given one month apart initially, then top-ups can be given on an as-required basis with the treatment duration usually being 6 months.
